Founder Background
Dr Kim Agnew BSc(Hons), BVSc, MACVCS
Dr Kim Agnew is the founder and director of Sorensis and has more than 40 years of experience across livestock production, veterinary practice, animal health research and commercial development.
Raised on a sheep and cattle farm in the Rangitikei region of New Zealand, he completed BSc(Hons) and BVSc degrees at Massey University before spending a decade working in large animal veterinary practice.
Since 1995, Kim has held national, regional and global research, technical and regulatory leadership roles within the animal health industry. Across this time, he has contributed to the development and commercialisation of multiple animal health products and technologies, including new product patents and international registration programs.
His experience spans clinical research, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, technical services and product development, with a particular focus on translating scientific research into practical commercial outcomes.
Alongside Sorensis, Kim is also director of KAP Consulting Pty Ltd and works with Paul Dick & Associates, a North American consultancy supporting the human and animal health sectors.
Sorensis was founded through a long-standing interest in solving one of the major unresolved challenges within the beef industry: developing a practical, non-surgical approach to long-term reproductive control in female cattle.
